Failing to plan is like planning to fail.
At Silentblast we believe finding the right design firm is like finding the right architect. Every design firm has their own style, unique flourish, attitude, business practice, and overall presence. A web consultation is a paid service that aims to determine if the client and the service provider (Silentblast) are a good match for each other. A consultation can take anywhere from 2-10 hours; essentially, as long as it takes to determine a few things. This is a great time to learn about one another's business, and figure out the scope of work that is required; and determine the project goals, timelines and milestones. This is also a time to explore all possible options and avenues.
The big question that prospect clients ask us is: How much $$? Without a consultation, we can only give them a range, ie. 5,000 - 50,000! That's a huge range you might be thinking, but this is why a consultation is so vital to grasping a true range of cost. Cost is greatly determined on the number of pages, and the number of functions and forums that is requested, as part of the scope of work.
The consultation is also where the story of your website is sketched out, and all your needs and wants are documented and a clear cut direction is decided. The end result of a consultation is a full understanding so that Silentblast can prepare a detailed document called The Proposal which provides a project overview, a description of the scope of work, project timelines, deliverables, and exact costing, which gives the client a more accurate sense of budgeting. Realistically, we welcome you to take our proposal and shop it around! We will be here when you get back :)
In order to successfully understand the target audience, we must first understand who you are and how your business operates. Building a website is easy, building a website that generates business is planned and properly executed.
In most cases, we think we know who are our competitors are. You may be surprised to learn who is really getting the traffic and who is not. A competitive analysis reveals some great insight and can certainly give you a competitive advantage.
A professional website health check would look at several elements of your site consisting of general structure, user interface, content, functionality, programming and of course your current ranking on Google, Yahoo and Bing.
