Jazz Guitarist Warren Greig Launches Website

Warren Greig is a Canadian Jazz Guitarist and composer from Toronto, Canada, he currently resides in Mississauga, Ontario with his wife and daughter. After graduating from Thornlea Secondary where he studied music with Ellis McClintock and privately with guitar teacher Tony Bradan he was accepted as a guitar student at Humber College in the jazz studies program.
From 1980 to 1985 Warren lived in Vancouver where he resumed studies with Tony Bradan who had relocated there and attended Vancouver college for two years. During this time Warren performed in various small groups and performed and recorded with the Vancouver College Big Band and The Capilano College big band under the direction of Dave Branter and Fred Stride respectively.
In 1985 Warren returned to Toronto and joined the University of Toronto big band under the direction of Phil Nimmons for one year. From this time up until 2004 Warren performed as a sideman with various groups at venues such as the Toronto Jazz Festival, The Beaches Jazz Festival and TV appearances on City TV and the CBC. In 2004 Warren recorded his first CD as a leader, Warren Greig Trio which featured various standards and some original compositions. In 2009 Warren recorded his second CD, Here with You which featured all original material.
At the present time Warren is performing and preparing to record original material for release in early 2011.
