Yup, you read correctly, sold for 8.5 BIG ONES. That’s Billions. Ok, Now I think or rather I know Microsoft has gone off the deep end, I mean a company loosing like 7 Million dollars a year and making zero profit? Really? Google apparently offered half of that, which personally I thought was insane as well, but in comes the big wigs at MS and whamo, 8.5 Billion. I’m sure Mr. Facebook is smiling now, since he’s probably now going to get that integration he’s been looking to do with voice… Awesome. ( that was sarcastic by the way) I guess Microsoft has a lot of ground to cover in trying to recover it’s loosing market share to our friends at Apple.

The funny thing is I really don’t care all that much, I mean I liked the idea of Skype, but let’s be honest how many of us actually use the darn thing? I even had that baby on my iPhone as an app of course, why? Because It was free and thought… what if I need this someday… Well, now that it’s under the big MS umbrella, it’s coming off my iPhone like right now, besides Skype didn’t work that well on a mac anyway.
